Prophet Abraham.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">After his mother's death, his grandfather (Abdul-Muttalib) assumed
guardianship of him.<br />
<br />
Muhammad(صلى الله عليه وسلم ) was eight when his grandfather died,
and he was taken into the care of his uncle (Abu Talib).</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">When he was 6 year old, his mother decided to take him to visit

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">On their way back to Mecca, however, Aminah became ill and died.
Muhammad (pbuh) returned sadly to Mecca with his mother's maid. He was now six
years old and had lost both his father and mother.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">He was then adopted by his grandfather, Abd al-Muttalib, who loved
him dearly and kept him by his side at all times. It was the custom of Abd
al-Muttalib (tribe) to sit on a blanket near the Kabah. There he was always surrounded
by people who had come to speak to him. No one was allowed to sit on the
blanket with him, however, except his grandson Muhammad (pbuh), which shows how
close they were to each other.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">There are many stories told about Mohammed’s youth. Some tell of
how he used to take the family's sheep to graze and was always kind to them.
While they grazed he would sit thinking about the mysteries of nature. Unlike
those around him he never worshipped the idols and never swore by them.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">He also wondered why people were always struggling for power and
money, and this saddened him and made him feel lonely, but he kept his feelings
to himself. He was a quiet, thoughtful boy, and rarely played with other boys
of his age.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

Abyssinia (modern Ethiopia) where Ashabah (Negus, a Christian) was the ruler.
Eighty people, emigrated in small groups to avoid detection. When the leaders
came to know this flight they sent two of their envoys to Negus to bring all of
them back. However, Negus allowed them to stay under his protection after he
investigated Muslim belief and heard the revelations about Jesus and Mary
(peace be upon them both), which appears in Chapter 19, entitled Mary, of the
Qur’an. The emigrants were allowed freedom of worship in Abyssinia.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<br />
Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) started preaching of Islam
from his family and friends. For the first three years, only 40 people accepted
Islam. They accepted Islam by testifying that:<br />
<br />
"There is no Deity (worthy of worship) except God (The One True God) and
Muhammad is the Messenger of God."</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<br />
At the end of the third year the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) received
the command to “arise and warn,” whereupon he began to preach in public,
pointing out the wretched folly of idolatry in face of the great laws of day
and night, of life and death, of growth and decay, which manifest the power of
God and attest His sovereignty. It was then, when he began to speak against
their gods (gods other than One True God), that Quraysh (a tribe) became
actively hostile, persecuting his poorer disciples, mocking and insulting him.
The one consideration which prevented them from killing him was fear of the
blood-vengeance of the clan to which his family belonged. Strong in his
inspiration, the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) went on
warning, pleading, threatening, while Quraysh did all they could to ridicule his
teaching, and deject his followers.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">His uncle Abu Lahab with other leaders of Quraish tried to bribe
him with money and power including an offer to make him king if he were to
abandon his message. When this did not work, they tried to convince his uncle
Abu Talib to accept the best young man of Makkah in place of Muhammad (صلى
الله عليه وسلم ) and to allow them to kill Muhammad (صلى الله عليه
وسلم ) His uncle tried to persuade the Prophet to stop preaching but the
Prophet said: "O uncle, if they were to put the sun in my right hand and
the moon in my left hand to stop me from preaching Islam, I would never stop. I
will keep preaching until Allah makes Islam prevail or I die."</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Up to the age of forty, Muhammad was not known as a statesman, a
preacher or an orator. He was never seen discussing the principles of
metaphysics, ethics, law, politics, economics or sociology. No doubt he
possessed an excellent character, charming manners and was highly cultured. Yet
there was nothing so deeply striking and so radically extraordinary in him that
would make men expect something great and revolutionary from him in the future.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Muhammad believed that there was only one God, Creator of the sun,
the moon, the earth, the sky, and of all living things, and that all people
should worship only the true God. Muhammad would often leave the crowded city
and go to the cave in Mount Hira. He liked to be alone there, away from all
thoughts of the world and daily life, eating and drinking little. In his
fortieth year, Muhammad left Mecca to spend Ramadan, the traditional holy
religious month of retreat, in the cave. In the second half of Ramadan, God
began to reveal His message for mankind through Muhammad. This first Revelation
occurred as follows.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The Archangel Gabriel came to Muhammad in the cave and said:</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">“Read: In the Name of your Lord who created, Created man from a
clot. Read: And thy Lord is the Most Generous Who taught by the pen, Taught man
that which he knew not. (Quran 96:1-5) Muhammad repeated these verses, just as
the Archangel had said them, then the Archangel went away. He was terribly
afraid and rushed out of the cave. He was stopped by a voice from heaven which
said; 'O Muhammad you are the Messenger of Allah, and I am Gabriel.' He looked
up at the sky and wherever he turned he saw the Archangel Gabriel.<br />
<br />
In a state of confusion he returned home to Khadijah. When his wife saw him she
became very worried as he began to shiver, as though in a fever. He asked her
to wrap him in blankets. After a while he recovered sufficiently to tell her
what had happened at cave Hira. Khadijah believed all that he told her and with
great respect said: 'Be happy, O son of my uncle and be confident. Truly I
swear by God who has my soul in His hands, that you will be our people's
Prophet. Muhammad was eased by her faith in him, but after all that had
happened he was exhausted and felt fast asleep. Khadijah went to see her
cousin, Waraqah Ibn Nawfal, to ask him what he thought about all that had
happened. Waraqah was a very wise man who had read many books and had become a
Christian after studying the Bible. He told Khadijah that Muhammad had been
chosen by God to be His Messenger. Just as the Archangel Gabriel had come to
Moses before and had ordered him to guide his people, so, too, would Muhammad
be the Prophet of his people. But Waraqah warned that all the people would not
listen to the Prophet and some would mistreat his followers. He must, however,
be patient because he had a great message for all the world. From that day on,
the Archangel Gabriel came often to the Prophet and the verses he taught him,
the message from God to man, were later written down, and are known to us as
the Holy Quran.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The mission of Prophet Muhammad (s) was to restore the worship of
the One True God, the creator and sustainer of the universe, as taught by
Prophet Ibrahim and all Prophets of God, and to demonstrate and complete the
laws of moral, ethical, legal, and social conduct and all other matters of
significance for the humanity at large.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

in <i>Zend</i> means ‘to praise’. The infinitive <i>Sitaudan</i> in
present day Persian means praising. It can also be derived from the
Persian root word <i>istadan</i> which would mean ‘one who
makes a thing rise up’. Therefore <i>Astvat-ereta</i> means
the one who praised, which is the exact translation of the Arabic word <i>'Ahmed'</i> which
is another name for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The Prophecy clearly
mentions both the names of the Prophet i.e. Muhammad (pbuh) and Ahmed

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Some people may argue
that ‘Raja’ Bhoj mentioned in the prophecy lived in the 11th century C.E. 500
years after the advent of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and was the descendant in the
10th generation of Raja Shalivahan. These people fail to realise that there was
not only one Raja of the name Bhoj. The Egyptian Monarchs were called as
Pharaoh and the Roman Kings were known as Caesar, similarly the Indian Rajas
were given the title of Bhoj. There were several Raja Bhoj who came before the
one in 11th Century C.E.<br />
<br />
The Prophet did not physically take a bath in the Panchgavya and the water of
Ganges. Since the water of Ganges is considered holy, taking bath in the Ganges
is an idiom, which means washing away sins or immunity from all sorts of sins.
Here the prophecy implies that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was sinless, i.e.
Maasoom.<br />

<i><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Kuntap</span></i><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> also means hidden
glands in the abdomen. These <i>mantras</i> are called so probably
because their true meaning was hidden and was to be revealed in future. Its
hidden meaning is also connected with the navel or the middle point of this
earth. Makkah is called the <i>Ummul Qur’a</i> the mother of the
towns or the naval of the earth. In many revealed books it was the first house
of Divine worship where God Almighty gave spiritual nourishment to the world.
The Qur’an says in Surah Ali-Imran chapter 3, verse 96:<o:p></o:p></span></div>

word Muhammad (pbuh).<br />

The Sanskrit word <i>Kaurama</i> means ‘one who spreads and

preached equality of human kind and universal brotherhood. <i>Kaurama</i> also
means an emigrant. The Prophet migrated from Makkah to Madinah and was

according to the Sacred Books of the East, volume 25, Laws of <i>Manu</i> pg.
472. According to Manu Smirti chapter 11 verse 202, "A Brahman is
prohibited from riding a camel or an ass and to bathe naked. He should
purify himself by suppressing his breath".<br />

as <i>Mamah</i>. No rishi in India or another Prophet had this
name <i>Mamah</i> which is derived from <i>Mah</i> which
means to esteem highly, or to revere, to exalt, etc. Some Sanskrit books
give the Prophet’s name as ‘Mohammad’, but this word according to
Sanskrit grammar can also be used in the bad sense. It is incorrect to
apply grammar to an Arabic word. Actually <i>shas</i> the same
meaning and somewhat similar pronunciation as the word Muhammad (pbuh).<br />
<br />
He is given 100 gold coins, which refers to the believers and the
earlier companions of the Prophet during his turbulent Makkan life.
Later on due to persecution they migrated from Makkah to Abysinia. Later
when Prophet migrated to Madinah all of them joined him in Madinah.<br />
<br />
The 10 chaplets or necklaces were the 10 best companions of the Holy
Prophet (pbuh) known as <i>Ashra-Mubbashshira </i>(10 bestowed
with good news). These were foretold in this world of their salvation in
the hereafter i.e. they were given the good news of entering paradise by
the Prophet’s own lips and after naming each one he said "in
Paradise". They were Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubair,
Abdur Rahman Ibn Auf, Saad bin Abi Waqqas, Saad bin Zaid and Abu Ubaidah
(May Allah be well-pleased with all of them).<br />
<br />
The Sanskrit word <i>Go </i>is derived from <i>Gaw </i>which
means ‘to go to war’. A cow is also called <i>Go </i>and is a
symbol of war as well as peace. The 10,000 cows refer to the 10,000
companions who accompanied the Prophet (pbuh) when he entered Makkah
during <i>Fateh </i>Makkah which was a unique victory in the
history of mankind in which there was no blood shed. The 10,000
companions were pious and compassionate like cows and were at the same
time strong and fierce and are described in the Holy Quran in Surah
Fatah:<br />
<br />
"Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are
strong against unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each
other." [Al-Qur'an 48:29]<br />

"the one who praises" or "the praised one" is almost the
translation of the Greek word <i>Periclytos</i>. In the Gospel of John
14:16, 15:26, and 16:7. The word 'Comforter' is used in the
English translation for the Greek word <i>Paracletos</i>which
means advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter. <i><br />
<br />
Paracletos </i>is the warped reading for <i>Periclytos</i>. Jesus

to the Prophet (pbuh) who is a mercy for all creatures.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (pbuh) departs will the Comforter
come. The Bible states that the Holy Spirit was already present on earth before
and during the time of Jesus (pbuh), in the womb of Elizabeth,
and again when Jesus (pbuh) was being baptised, etc. Hence
this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).<br />

<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">In the first year after

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">His wisdom benefited many people. One such time was when Quraysh
decided to rebuild the Kabah. Each tribe brought stones and they built the
Kabah up until they reached the place where the Black Stone was to be set. They
then began to argue about who should have the honor of carrying the Black Stone
and lifting it to its place in one of the corners of the Kabah.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

They almost came to blow but fortunately one of the men offered a solution. He
suggested that they should be guided by the first person to enter the place of
worship. They all agreed and as Muhammad(صلى الله عليه وسلم ) was the
first to enter everyone was pleased, because they all trusted him. They told
him the cause of the argument and he asked them to bring a large cloak. They
did as he suggested, and after spreading the cloak on the ground he placed the
black stone in the centre of it. Then he asked a man from each tribe to hold
one edge of the cloak and together to raise it to the height where the stone
should be see. When this was done, he took the stone off the cloak and put it
into place himself. This story shows how all Quraysh respected and trusted
Muhammad(صلى الله عليه وسلم ) and how, by his wisdom and good sense,
he was able to keep the peace.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">When Muhammad(صلى الله عليه وسلم ) reached the age of
thirty-three, he developed a tendency to be alone and in deep thought. In the
years that followed, he began to experience a Divine feeling and was drawn more
towards the contemplation of the Creator, Allah.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

Muhammad disliked the worship of idols and he denounced 'polytheism' (worship
of more than one God). He abstained from eating food that had been offerings to
the idols.<br />
<br />
As Muhammad's(صلى الله عليه وسلم ) age neared forty years, he desired
to be lonely and in solitude grew ever stronger. He avoided all worldly
contacts and began to retire to the quite of the cave of Hira which was about
five kilometers from Makkah. The cave was only three meters by two meters in
size. During his visits to the cave he took with him only a meager supply of
bread and water. </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">When Muhammad(صلى الله عليه وسلم ) was forty years old,
the angel Gabriel appeared in the cave of Hira and said: 'Read, in the name of
Allah who created (everything). He created man from a clot of blood. Read, your
Lord is Great who taught you but virtue of the pen that which you did not know'.
The angel Gabriel then disappeared. </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><br />
This Divine incident so affected Prophet Muhammad(صلى الله عليه

to cover him with a blanket. When he had calmed down sufficiently, he related the
incident to his wife who comforted him with words of praise, wisdom and
encouragement. </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><br />
When Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) said he was afraid
for his life, Khadeejah consoled him with the words: 'No, no. On the contrary,
you should feel happy. God will never forsake you because you have been loving,
helpful, truthful, and you possess the sublime character which no other man
possesses, and you are 'just'. </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><br />
Khadeejah took Prophet Muhammad(صلى الله عليه وسلم ) to her cousin
Waraqah-bin-Nawfal, who at once confirmed the signs of prophethood in
Muhammad(صلى الله عليه وسلم ) and he stressed that the Prophet would
be persecuted by his own people.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><br />
After this granting of apostleship, Prophet Muhammad(صلى الله عليه
وسلم ) began to preach Islam. The first man to become a Muslim was
his closest friend Abu Bakr and first women was his wife Khadeejah.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The Prophet<span style="background: white;">(صلى الله عليه

were close to him and whom he could trust. At that time Mecca was going through
hard times. There was very little food to be had. Abu Talib, the Prophet's
uncle, who had taken care of him after his grandfather's death, was finding it
very difficult to feed his large family.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Three years passed and one day the Archangel Gabriel came to

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">So Prophet Muhammad(صلى الله عليه وسلم ) told the people
of Mecca that he had something very important to tell them. He stood on a
hillside in Mecca, called Safa, and they gathered around to hear what he had to
say. He started by asking them if they would believe him if he say that an army
was about to attack them behind this mountain. They answered that indeed they
would, because he never lied. He then told them that he was the Messenger of
God, sent to show them the right way, and to warn them of terrible punishments
if they did not follow him in worshipping only Allah and none other. Abu Lahab,
one of the Prophet's uncles who was among the listeners, suddenly stood up and
said, 'May you perish! Did you call us here just to tell us this?'</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Then the crowd dispersed and Prophet Muhammad(صلى الله عليه

his uncles. After the meal he spoke to them and said, "O sons of Abd
al-Muttalib! I know of no Arab who has come to his people with a better message
than mine. I have brought you the best news for this life and the next. God has
ordered me to call you to Him. So which of you will help me?" All the men
kept silent. Then Ali, his cousin, stood up and said: "O Prophet of God! I
will help you." Then all the men left, laughing because only one young boy
had agreed to help Prophet Muhammad(صلى الله عليه وسلم ).</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 16pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
